James W. Johnson was a founding Member of Ricci Tyrrell Johnson & Grey and is now Of Counsel to the Firm. He has over 40 years of commercial and casualty litigation and trial experience with an emphasis in general negligence, premises liability, maritime, and products liability law. He also has extensive experience in handling professional liability, property damage, maritime and general insurance coverage issues, subrogation, and advising clients on risk management issues. Mr. Johnson’s degree in engineering has enabled him to be particularly effective in these areas of the law.

As an attorney, Mr. Johnson has extensive experience with U.S. Coast Guard administrative proceedings and investigations as well as regulatory issues governing the professional licensing of state and federal pilots in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

His practice includes regional representation of clients with nationwide litigation concerns in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as acting as trial counsel in particularly serious cases in other jurisdictions.
