The law firm of James W. Miskowski, Counsellors at Law, has represented private and corporate clients for 40 years. For 25 of those years, the firm has developed an expertise in representing, birth parents, children, adoptive parents and adoption agencies in the field of adoption. It has had the privilege of building over 2,000 adoptive families; tried many of the high profile cases that became contested in New Jersey over the past two decades; and was instrumental in enacting legislation in a continued attempt to improve the laws as they have evolved over the years.

Attorney Miskowski began the adoption part of his practice as a result of his experience as an adoptive parent. Due to his caring nature, experience and compassion for those constituting the adoption triad; the birth parents, the children and prospective adoptive parents, he led the challenge to allow private, independent adoptions specifically designed to meet the needs of the all parties involved. He has three adoptive children.
